Hello, I'm Val S.

In 2019​,​ I left the busy urban life of a full-time tenured graphic design professor for a very slow lane in rural Tennessee. After more than 2 decades in the university classrooms​,​ I decided to interact with people on a different level beyond the boundaries and obstacles that institutions like that create. Now I reside on 5 acres and take care of donkeys​,​ chickens​,​ cats​,​ peacocks​,​ and a few guard dogs. It's amazing that technology now allows us to connect virtually and to find learning environments that are more suited to our individual needs. I grew up in Girl Scouts and was a Girl Scout leader for 5 years in my early 20s. Working with people is part of my personality.
