Clifton Primary is a large and vibrant inner city school, serving a diverse community in Balsall Heath, Birmingham. Children attending the school live in the local area which is part of the Sparkbrook Ward. The school enjoys very strong relationships with parents, families and the local community. The school has undergone some significant changes in recent years including the amalgamation of the infant and junior schools, major rebuilding and, perhaps most importantly, a move to four forms of entry. Clifton is now a very large primary school with over 900 pupils and 130 staff. As you would expect there is a large, attractive yet complex site consisting of four main buildings, three large playgrounds, an Astroturf and a grassed area.

Monday to Thursday Breakfast Club – 8.00 to 8.30am Nursery AM – 8.30 to 11.30am. Gates open 8.30-8.40 for arrival, and 11.30-11.40 for collection. Nursery PM – 12.25 to 3.25pm. Gates open 12.15-12.35 for arrival, and 3.25-3.35 for collection. Reception – 8.30am to 3.20pm. Gates open 8.20-8.35 for arrival, and 3.20-3.40 for collection. Years 1 to 6 – 8.30am to 3.30pm. Gates open 8.20-8.35 for arrival, and 3.20-3.40 for collection. After School Clubs – 3.30 to 4.45pm Friday As above but school finishes at 1.00pm. Collection time on Fridays is 12.50-1.10pm. Friday Club – 1.00 to 3.15pm. This is available for pupils whose parents are working. These children are to be collected at 3:15pm. Total school hours for Years 1 to 6 is 32.5 hours per week.
