The Museum of History Benicia is housed in four 1850s sandstone buildings in the heart of the historic Benicia Arsenal District​,​ and a former fire station in Downtown Benicia. Highlighting California history as viewed through the lens of Benicia​,​ exhibits cover topics from pre-history through the present day​,​ reflecting the exciting changes in the state of California since the city's founding in 1847.
