Description
I have a Bachelor's degree in Child Development, hold a valid Multiple Subject CA Teaching Credential, and my Masters in Education. I taught at the elementary level for eight years in first, third, and fourth grade. I resigned from my public education teaching position in May 2021 and opened ElevateU in July of 2021. ElevateU is an alternative education program that helps families and educators obtain educational freedom and provide academic experiences that allow children, parents, and educators thrive. ElevateU also provides 1:1 Coaching services for both parents and teachers. Through our 1:1 coaching sessions, we are able to tailor to each family's individual needs and meet them where they are at on their alternative education journey. These sessions are truly to help parents and teachers create educational experiences for their children that align with their own personal beliefs and family values. These sessions focus on a variety of topics that can include lesson planning, behavior management, teaching strategies, creating structures and routines, and so much more. The goal with these sessions is to empower both parents and educators to create an alternative education experience for children that they are truly passionate about that ultimately benefits the children they are serving. ElevateU also provides a hybrid homeschool program for families who are interested in partnering with a credentialed teacher that helps with teaching their child. This program is a part time drop off program currently for students ages 5-8 (K-3). This class is limited to up to 10 students to ensure that each child is able to receive the academic support they need. Lessons conducted build upon multiple academic skills as well as social skills like communication and collaboration. Another service ElevateU is beginning to provide for homeschool families is assessments for your children in both reading and math. These assessments give detailed data on where your child is at academically with reading and or math skills. These tests are administered by a credentialed teacher 1:1 with your child. The assessments we use are conducted through conversations which is why we love them! They are NOT paper pencil. After the assessments are complete you will receive your child's data as well as next steps/skills to work on with your child.
