Description
Denise Lawson is an adventurer, educator, and author. She is the author of the Black Bear Sled Dog children's book series, and she offers interactive in-person and online author visits with her retired Alaskan sled dogs! She also offers unique writing workshops for children (individual or group). - Get an inside look at life along the Yukon River and the author’s own dog sledding adventures. - Learn basic dog sledding commands and the importance of team work on a dog team. - Learn how to think like a musher and plan for an expedition and the challenges you might encounter in the wilderness. - Meet the real Alaskan sled dogs from the book series and hear some of their stories! - Create your own dog team and write your own sled dog stories! I also offer curriculum to go with my book series to include: Sled Dog Math with Black Bear, and Moving to a New Home with Black Bear
